Thin, double-edged blade engraved with patters similar to foliage, base with one blade per each side, sharpened and with the same decoration. Bone grip and scabbard (parts missing) engraved with figures, animals and floral motifs, metallic mounts decorated with animals and floral motifs. Band with suspension ring similar to those of kindjal. Persia, circa 1900 length 59.5 cm.

The grip carved of elephant, bolsters lacking. The single-edged blade with gilt panels, signed AMAL ABDALLAH (Work of Abdallah) with upswept tip and showing evidence of wootz damascus steel. The velvet-covered wooden scabbard with finely nielloed silver locket and chape. Latter 18th century. Overall length 25.4 cm. Condition III
