This is a wonderful silver cigarette case with delicately engraved motif on the front and back panel, with small presentation mark engraved on the upper left side of back panel. Inside it is hallmarked and according to my reading this case is from city of Chester, England manufactured in 1841, keep in mind this is my interpretation. Chinese Qing carved jade figure, depicting standing Buddha in russet color, holding beads with the right hand, from late 19th century period, height of carving is 4.5 inches, condition is consistent with age, no imperfections noted.
