Finely crafted silver candlestick, marked sterling silver, decorated with 4 cartouche each containing with classical Greek figures, in high relief, in different position, also floral decoration 0n top and middle and base area. Late Qing era, well crafted Chinese Jade carving in the form of a saddled recumbent horse in graduated shades of green, having incised details and openwork areas at head and feet. This absolutely wonderful pair of Victorian opera glasses are marked Lemaire Fabt, Paris. They were made in Paris, and date back to about 1880-90. They measure 4” wide and 3” tall when fully extended and were part of the extravagant Paris opera scene during the Victorian period. What a joy to be able to take them to the opera today. The Burmese were master silver workers and high relief repousse bowls are their specialty. This bowl is exceptional, it consist of the bowl which has been hammered to a round and very smooth shape and then the wonderful repousse work on a outer layer that has been masterfully wrapped around the inner bowl. Description: Fine antique Persian copper bowl, late Quajar period, a band of engraved Persian poem from poet Hafez fallowed by geometrical design. On the base a horse in sitting position with a bird with open wings on the horse's back. This type of bowls was carried by people so every individual had his own bowl and was used for drinking water or wine. Measurements: 1 inches high and 3 3/8 inches in diameter in good condition.
