Description: Wonderful and well executed copper bowl from Safavid era "Safavid Dynasty 1502-1736". Interior and exterior fully decorated with the exterior depicting men and women playing old musical instruments. Interior is again composed of different engraved figures playing music and drinking wine with the interior center showing a woman dancing surrounded with birds and foliage. I believe the whole set inside and out is depicting King's court. The workmanship is excellent and especially engraving on the small and curved areas is very challenging and in this case the artist successfully has rendered a great job. Size: 3 3/8" in diameter and 1 inch high. Buyer pays the shipping cost. For a similar example, see Christie's, April 24, 1990.
