Antique Silver Dress Cane-Ca. 1880-Long, vertical and tapering silver handle totally hand chased and engraved with scrolls, foliage and blooms, coco palm wood shaft and a brass ferrule. An exceptional size paired with a high relief and fine surface detail make of this scepter-like Anglo-Indian Kutch cane a desirable and first rate collectible. This is a 2nd Century Roman Glass, hand blown 2nd century AD. It is thick and heavy, unflawed, no chips or cracks, no hairlines,it has impressed squares on the body for about two third of the way down. Unguentaria used to hold poisonous, caustic oils or ointments and were never smooth sided, to prevent the Roman from grabbing the dangerous oil by mistake.
