Incredible Indo/Persian hand painted, oil on paper, manuscript page, depicting a courting maiden with attendant and suitor with calligraphy. Circa late 19th century period. Mounted in gold and black painted frame with matting. It measures approx. 10" height x 7 1/4" width. Condition is consistent with age.

Late Qing era, well crafted Chinese Jade carving in the form of a saddled recumbent horse in graduated shades of green, having incised details and openwork areas at head and feet. This absolutely wonderful pair of Victorian opera glasses are marked Lemaire Fabt, Paris. They were made in Paris, and date back to about 1880-90. They measure 4” wide and 3” tall when fully extended and were part of the extravagant Paris opera scene during the Victorian period. What a joy to be able to take them to the opera today.
