Exhibited, is a fine European antique cane with an incredible carved horn handle in form of a dog's head, close attention to every details, bronze pommel and ferrule. Size: The carved handle measures 3.5 inches long and overall length of the cane is 31 inches long. Condition Report: Amazingly good condition considering age of this beautiful item, 19th century era.

Late Qing era, well crafted Chinese Jade carving in the form of a saddled recumbent horse in graduated shades of green, having incised details and openwork areas at head and feet. Areas of calcification are observed in crevices. Size; Measurements as follows; 1.75"H x 2.5"W. no condition issues noted.

The elegant black horn hilt with fingerstalls and crested karabela-type pommel, the fine, sinuous blade multi-fullered on the obverse and inscribed in gold, the reverse with a single narrow fuller at the spine and a panel of gold inlay in intertwining vine motifs. In its wooden scabbard covered entirely in embossed and chased silver displaying Ottoman baroque flowering vine motifs and terminating in a monster head finial. Dating: Mid-19th Century Provenance: Ottoman Empire, Turkey Circular, convex, iron shield provided with four studs with star-shaped base; the surface decorated with silver floral and geometrical motifs. At the inside four suspension rings, two of them with leather handle. Dimensions: Diameter 34.5 cm. No condition issues.

Lovely square enamel and silver compact, painting of a semi-nude woman resting next to a man and several sheep, a stream is in the background. The painting is framed with silver engraving and carnelian blue enamel accents. Inside is a mirror. Stamped 800. Dimensions 3"x3.25". Condition Report: Excellent condition.

The handle is bronze patinated metal and mounted on a sturdy "bark on" hickory shaft with a long ferrule. The cane dates to the very early 19th century. It is in great condition for its age! Note: This cane never had glass eyes. Circa 1800. Condition (Excellent). Size 38" L.

The case is hallmarked and according to my reading this item was manufactured by Whiting Manufacturing Company, New York, New York 1866-1926 a major manufacturer of full line of quality flatware and hallo ware that was absorbed into Gorham in 1926...
