Description: Fine antique Persian copper bowl, late Quajar period, a band of engraved Persian poem from poet Hafez fallowed by geometrical design. On the base a horse in sitting position with a bird with open wings on the horse's back. This type of bowls was carried by people so every individual had his own bowl and was used for drinking water or wine. Measurements: 1 inches high and 3 3/8 inches in diameter in good condition. Description: Wonderful and well executed copper bowl from Safavid era "Safavid Dynasty 1502-1736". Interior and exterior fully decorated with the exterior depicting men and women playing old musical instruments. Interior is again composed of different engraved figures playing music and drinking wine with the interior center showing a woman dancing surrounded with birds and foliage. I believe the whole set inside and out is depicting King's court...
