Description: Fine antique Persian copper bowl, late Quajar period, a band of engraved Persian poem from poet Hafez fallowed by geometrical design. On the base a horse in sitting position with a bird with open wings on the horse's back. This type of bowls was carried by people so every individual had his own bowl and was used for drinking water or wine. Measurements: 1 inches high and 3 3/8 inches in diameter in good condition. A FINE 16TH CENTURY PERSIAN JAMIYA, with doubled edged curved steel blade, the carved ivory handle with Arabic inscription "Made by Haji, Enthronement of the King Cumar Farug the Second 986 AH," which equates to the year 1578. Pair of African carved figures depicting a family with the woman carrying a jar on her head and holding it with the left hand and with the right hand carrying another vessel. The man holding a cane by left hand and his child by his right side. The man figure has a height if 11 inches and woman is 10.25 inches tall standing on a .75 inch wooden base. Both item bear very nice dark patina, in good condition with losses to woman's necklace and left earring.
